Description Technical Specs Extended Information

As a search and rescue team member, you need to focus on your mission, not on your equipment or lack of comfort. That’s why we designed the SR-1 Endeavor with your needs in mind. Whether you are working a short or long duration incident, the SR-1 Endeavor provides you with all-day comfort and utility, all in one lightweight, adaptable search and rescue pack.
Modular:
Like our fire gear, the SR-1 Endeavor is a modular pack with multiple set-up options so you decide how to configure it and which modules and tools to carry. The main pack offers 1,900 cubic inches of space and weighs less than 2 pounds, while the light duty pack has 400 cubic inches and weighs 7oz.
With removable modules like the 400 cubic inch medical kit case and the water reservoir case with dual hose ports (CamelBak® water bladder sold separately), you can tailor this versatile search and rescue pack to meet your specific needs for each mission. New features include: Additional inside mesh storage pockets, and more webbing daisy chain connection points.
Comfortable:
No matter how long you are working an incident, comfort is critical so you can perform at your best. The lightweight SR-1 Endeavor is made with an aluminum stay frame for custom fit, an ergonomically-designed harness system, and an adjustable hip-belt/torso length. These high quality features will ensure your comfort for long hours on the job, while also being adaptable to fit different sized team members.
Durable:
Made from DuPont® 1000 Denier Cordura®, the SR-1 Endeavor features quick-release ITW Nexus® buckles and hardware, YKK® zipper pulls and tape, reinforced stress points and four grommets on each side pocket to provide maximum drainage for fluids and dirt. 5 of 5 Great Pack July 23, 2014
Reviewer: M. Daniels, Volunteer TSVFD/SAR
Received my pack and it's awesome!  Going to show it off Thursday night at fire drill!  Hopefully they will be wise and get one for themselves! Already tested it out twice hiking, by far the most comfortable pack I have ever owned.
Thanks!

3 of 5 coaxsher sr-1 endeavor backpack July 18, 2014
Reviewer: michael bowman from effingham Illinois
i like the pack, i like the adjustability, i like how it adapts, but it isn't the most comfortable pack. it needs to be bigger in the main compartment can't store enough in it. the black color draws a lot of heat in the summer sun and tan or lighter color would be better.

5 of 5 Nice pack January 26, 2014
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from New Brunswick Canada
I purchased the SR1 Endeavor pack 4 months ago and have used it quite a bit since then. I find having the modular system is a real plus for configuring my gear to the mission, compared to the one pack system. Everything about the pack is well thought out with the exception of the gear attachment points on the outside of the pack. Even with a case there is really no where to attach any type of gear externally. The pack does distribute the weight very well and is very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. out of all the packs i have the SR1 does work best for me when on a sar mission.

2 of 5 SR-1 Endeaveor Pack October 30, 2013
Reviewer: Dave R
In a word..."Disappointing"! I bought this pack specifically for SAR work, and I was thoroughly disappointed in its performance. It's too big for a simple 24-hour pack, and not quit big enough for a full 72-hour pack. There is no convenient way to attach a sleeping bag, nor a sleeping pad, nor shelter to the exterior of the pack. The biggest fault is pack lacks compression straps, so if it's not packed to the max, it has a tendency to 'flop' around on your back. In fact, even when packed to the max, it still 'flops' around.

I think they designed this pack to be "modular", but they forgot about being 'adaptable'.

Also, I never did get the pack to fit me satisfactorily . No matter how much I fiddled with the cross straps that secured the pack to the shoulder straps, I always got a "bunch-up" on the shoulder strap directly behind the neck.

The construction is great, but the design is lacking.
Sorry, Coaxsher! I love your radio packs, but the SR-1 just doesn't cut it..

5 of 5 SR-1 Endeavor Search and Rescue Pack May 10, 2013
Reviewer: Frosty from Sussex Search & Rescue, Sussex, UK
Dear Coaxsher,

Having recently learnt about your gear from a friend on my SAR unit (Sussex Search & Rescue, UK) and seeing it in action, at my earliest opportunity I got on the net and searched you guys out.  Within minutes I was at the checkout arranging for the SR-1 Endeavor Search and Rescue Pack and the RCP-1 Pro Radio Chest Harness to be delivered to me in the UK.  After champing at the bit for two weeks for it to get here I was not disappointed and the wait had been worth it.  After a few cosmetic modifications (SAR reflectors etc.) my gear was ready to go...

Last night was my first time to use my new kit albeit for a training night and again I was not disappointed.  To be honest I almost forgot the pack was on such was the design and the weight distribution.

I would thoroughly recommend this combo to any fellow volunteer in the search and rescue sector.  Well done Coaxsher and keep up the great development of awesome kit.
